With More and More Lies Exposed, Fraudulent Flippo Has Another Bruising Week

After spending last week blaming his copywriters and dodging accountability for stolen valor, David Flippo spent this week lying about his finances and hiding as veterans call him out — all while being investigated for shady campaign finance practices.

Fresh reporting shows a dozen *new* instances of Fraudulent Flippo lying about receiving a Bronze Star “for Valor.” Like the “technical difficulties” that have forbidden him from filing his legally required financial disclosures for the past three years, at least 15 instances of stolen valor cannot be blamed on someone else.

Here’s what Nevada veterans are saying:

“He’s betraying the military, the rank and ribbon system, and so what else is he willing to betray? In other words, if that’s not important to see to it that’s correct, what else would he betray?”

“To the extent that is what happened here, I think that should concern Nevada voters…beyond offensive”

“This is a big deal. Getting a Bronze Star means you are just so much above and beyond that you are the elite amongst the elite. But then to lie and say it was with valor … it disrespects everybody that actually did put their life on the line.”

See more below on Fraudulent Flippo’s stolen valor:

KTVN: “He should have caught it himself, it should never have become an issue, he let it become an issue.”

KOLO: “Several local veterans are speaking out accusing congressional candidate David Flippo of mis-representing his military service. Some, even demanding their donations be refunded.”

KOH-AM: “The medal was given without valor because he was not in combat. But his campaign literature says that it was with valor.”

KUNR: “A group of northern Nevada veterans are requesting that David Flippo, Republican candidate for congressional District two, return campaign donations after allegations of stolen valor.”

KUNR en Espanol: “En un comunicado, un veterano dijo que la afirmación de Flippo que había estado en combato cuando en realidad no fue así, es repugnante.”

Nevada Independent: “The distinction may seem relatively innocuous to those not connected to the military. Veterans say it’s anything but.”

See more below on Fraudulent Flippo’s shady finances:

KOLO: “The David Flippo campaign has released a financial disclosure form showing his income and investments. The campaign did not file those forms with the clerk of the House of Representatives as required by law.”

Mother Jones: “It has now been more than a month since Datwyler said that Flippo was tying up some loose ends before finally filing a financial disclosure. Last week, Flippo’s campaign told a Reno TV station that the process was still ongoing and would be completed soon. It was better, the campaign claimed, to be right and late than wrong and early. Flippo’s first disclosure was due in May 2023.”

Nevada Independent: “It’s still unclear exactly how Flippo accrued the capital to give his campaign a seven-figure loan — funneling more than $2.4 million in total into Congress bids over the last two cycles.”

KNPR: “It reveals debt between 580,00 and 1.2 million, largely stemming from credit lines used to fund his political campaign.”
