Superintendent of Elections Office Staying Open Late on October 13 for Voter Registration Deadline
Burlington County Elections officials are reminding residents of the upcoming October 13 deadline to register to vote in this year’s November General Election.
Eligible citizens can register in person at the Burlington County Superintendent of Elections Office located in the County Elections Building (301 Harper Drive, Moorestown). The building is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, but there will be special extended hours until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, to accommodate last-minute registrations on the deadline date.
“Our nation’s democracy works best and is strongest when we all participate in it, so we’re encouraging all eligible U.S. citizens who aren’t registered to do so before the deadline,” said Burlington County Superintendent of Elections Dawn Marie Addiego. “Once registered, voters have multiple ways to cast their ballot, including with a drop box for vote-by-mail ballots or with a voting machine during the early voting period or on Election Day. All these voting methods are legal, safe, and secure, but it begins with being registered.”
To register as Burlington County voter, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 17 years old (though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18). You also must have resided in Burlington County for at least 30 days before the November 3rd General Election date.
Voters can register online at https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register or obtain a paper voter registration form that can be mailed or hand delivered to the Superintendent of Elections Office. All completed registration forms must arrive at the office before closing on October 13 for the voter to be eligible to participate in the upcoming election.
Voters can check their registration status online at https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/registration-check .
